About
Welcome to Los Claros, a culinary gem nestled in the vibrant heart of Cabo San Lucas, at Ignacio Zaragoza in Downtown Centro. This charming eatery is a breath of fresh air, just a stone’s throw away from the crowded tourist traps. As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by an authentic atmosphere, friendly staff, and a dedication to flavorful seafood.
Los Claros prides itself on a menu that celebrates the ocean’s bounty, boasting an impressive array of seafood-centric dishes. From their renowned Marlin spicy tacos to the delightfully unconventional fish burgers, every bite is a testament to the skill of their chefs. But it’s not just about the food; the restaurant's atmosphere buzzes with a sense of community, evident in the interactions between the staff and patrons. Feedback from customers like Chiara Mazzetti highlights the restaurant's exceptional service, especially in accommodating dietary restrictions with thoughtful alternatives like a potato filled with meat—all prepared to ensure a safe dining experience for everyone.
The taco topping bar is another standout feature, allowing diners to personalize their meals with a variety of toppings and spices. As Dawn M Farley notes, this “fixings” bar adds a DIY element that enhances the dining experience. The emphasis on seafood ensures that you won't find cheesy, touristy tacos here—just pure, vibrant flavors that echo the local culture. With the option to customize heat levels, every palate is catered for, whether you prefer mild or a spicy kick.
Moreover, customers rave about the value for money. Noemi Jimenez's experience of four fish crunch tacos and margaritas for just twenty dollars epitomizes the affordability without compromising on quality. The generous portion sizes are complemented by the distinctly fresh ingredients that keep diners coming back for more—just as they did on their second day in town.
Los Claros isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience informed by the rich maritime traditions of Mexico. Whether you're seeking a cozy spot for a casual lunch or an immersive dive into the local culinary landscape, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. It's a place where flavors mingle and memories are made, encapsulating the spirit of Cabo San Lucas in every dish.
If you're looking to indulge in authentically prepared seafood and appreciate attentive service amid a welcoming atmosphere, step away from the touristy spots and make your way to Los Claros. You’ll find that a memorable meal awaits just minutes from the waterfront. Don’t miss out on this culinary treasure!
“ Lovely place with delicious food and great staff. I had a fish burger and a taco with octopus. As my partner is alergic to seafood, they prepared a potato filled with meat (cooked separately from seafod). They were very accommodating and the chef came talking to us personally to give us options. Also, it is an authentic place, just 5 mins away from the crappy touristy places. Top! ”
“ So glad we took the recommendation from our Whale watch tour guide, Josephine. The flavors were delightful and loved the “fixings” bar. DIY to taste. What you won’t find is typical tacos. It’s 90% seafood, and no cheese. So don’t look to order any queso. ”
“ Food, service, & prices are amazing. Had 4 fish crunch tacos & 2 margaritas for 20. The fish pieces were big & the salad bar allows you to add all the toppings you want. The servers were all friendly and attentive. Everything was so good we went back the next day. It's definitely worth the 6-minute walk from the waterfront. ”
“ The Marlin spicy tacos are amazing. All the food and drinks are great. Visit soon.! Thank you all. ”
“ Well worth the five min walk from the main touristy area. Absolutely authentic. Flavorful. I appreciate the taco topping bar allows you to customize flavors and heat. Very kind and accommodating staff. The Marlin taco is spicy according to some. Nothing that a little sour cream couldn't squelch. Drinks were well made, too. In the end, we probably had some of everything. Definitely worth returning. ”
“ Every time we come to Cabo we eat at Los Claros! They have the BEST fish tacos in the world, in our opinion. Our absolute favorites are the Marlin tostadas!!!! We prefer this location where the locals also eat the best fish tacos! ”
“ Traveled here end of November for 2 weeks and this was our main eatery. This is our favorite place to go when we come to Cabo. Most awesome local taco restaurant. One where all the locals come to. You order your dish and go to a buffet of condiments to load up your taco. The crispy fish tacos and the Seafood Hot n Sour soup are to die for. The staff are all friendly. Dishes served pretty quick. The soup takes a lot longer (approx 20-25 mins) as it is made fresh to order, but worth the wait. We had been here many times prior to this visit, so we're ok with the wait. Portions of all dishes are a good size especially when you dress your own dishes from the condiment buffet. You know when your at a good local restaurant when all the locals come there. Lots of locals ordering take out on their way home from work or just in for dinner. The local blended Tamarindo drink is awesome. You either like it or don't, so don't take a star away for that. Atmosphere is welcoming, entertaining (TV screen and dj music) and casual. Fun wall paintings good for photos. Between both of us, we order at least 5 dishes to share and drinks. Our bill has been approx 600 -800 pesos with tip. Prices here are excellent as the locals pay the same amount as tourists. You have the option to sit in the covered outside seated area or inside area that is separated by steps. Inside tends to be cooler with the big fans. Washroom is kept clean. ”
“ Very Mexican excellent service great friendly staff. Ordered octopus ceviche fish tacos shrimp tacos. Everything was life changing. The octopus sooooo fresh melts in your mouth. The fish tacos come with 2 pierces of battered fish. If you’re in Cabo looking for a great taco at a decent price this is the place for you. Simply loved it. No wifi but you won’t need internet once the food arrives. ”
